DRINKS

The Boathouse: Our favorite bar! We bring all our friends without fail when they visit the area. Serving just drinks in a stone house, the Boathouse is home to MBCB’s favorite dirty martini of ALL time.

Dog & Deer Tavern: Originally opened in 1710, the Stockton Inn has newly re-imagined its in-house tavern. Have a seat at the cozy bar to enjoy incredible cocktails and a fresh perspective on comforting tavern food.

The Black Bass: Historic and charming hotel and restaurant/bar built in the 1740’s. George Washington himself was turned away by the innkeeper, who was loyal to the British Crown. Yikes! Grab a pint at the bar and ask the bartender to tell you about the ghost stories.

The Salt House: New Hope staple, great for drinks before dinner. Working fireplace in the colder months, great option for outdoor seating in warmer weather.

John and Peters: Old school biker dive bar in the middle of New Hope, with live music and great chicken tenders.

The Black Shed: A garden center and home goods shop complete with a full bar!

DINNER

FiNNBAR: CB’s workplace and our welcome party venue! The gem of Frenchtown, featuring Cal Peternell’s Mediterranean inspired, local, seasonal menu and a natural wine and cocktail program that rivals NYC restaurants. Be sure to make a reservation!

D’floret: An elegant BYOB dinner spot in Lambertville that is near and dear to us. Run by two of our friends Estelle and Dennis, the French-inspired food is top tier and the ambiance is cozy, local, and feels very European. Be prepared to strike up conversation with your neighboring tables, listen to great music, and bring your own bottle of wine. Option to sit outside on the back terrace weather permitting!

Bells Tavern: Local Lambertville haunt for a casual dinner. We have spent many nights sitting at the bar for trivia or a last-minute bite.

Antons at the Swan: Sister to the Boathouse, but this time with food! We love the burger, hot honey pepperoni pizza, and risotto. Located in Lambertville.

The Broadmoor: Great BYOB place in Lambertville for Italian food. The pasta and salads never miss!

The Golden Pheasant: French-inspired cuisine at this picturesque riverside Inn.

Porter House: American pub-style food you can rely on. Best for a late lunch or dinner, Porter House single-handedly fuels MB’s french fry addiction. Do it her way and order with a side of house-made blue cheese and buffalo sauce. CB recommends the greek salad with grilled chicken for a lighter nosh.

COFFEE & BRUNCH

The Speckled Egg: Best breakfast in town! Only open at Rice’s Market in Solebury on Tuesday & Saturday, this might be the perfect spot to grab a bite before our wedding soiree. If you don’t make it here, don’t stress — the owners (our friends) Meg & Tony are catering our farewell brunch so you’ll get another chance to chow down on their killer sandos.

Meta Cafe: Great spot to grab breakfast or lunch sandwiches in Lambertville. Our fav is the BLT!

Luminary: Cafe in Lambertville (where CB is a barista) with yummy selection of pastries, avo toast, and great in-shop roasted coffee.

Stockton Market: Cute market with great coffee, lunch, and snacks! In central Stockton, walking distance from the Stockton Inn.

Native Cafe: A Doylestown favorite for all things coffee and fast and easy breakfast or lunch. Be sure to try our favorite menu item: the Holy Basil Breakfast Burrito!

Amsterdam Coffee: Cafe known for its homemade syrups, excellent matcha, and bonsai tree collection. Warning: pricey, but worth it.

Early Bird: Coffee spot in Frenchtown — perfect for a morning pick-me-up!

Honeymoon Bakery: Local Frenchtown bakery with amazing baked goods and CB’s favorite cinnamon roll.

Solebury Market: Natural food store with juices, smoothies, wood fired pizza, and a killer salad & bowls bar.

Basil Bandwagon: Natural food market with juices, wraps, and healthy snack options.

ADVENTURES

Goat Hill Overlook: A relatively easy hike to a fantastic view of the Delaware River. Expect a gravel path with some incline.

Tow Path: About 60 miles running parallel to the canal for walking and biking — no cars allowed! Our favorite place to start walking on the path is by driving to Stockton, NJ and parking at the Stockton Market. Access the walking path on the PA side by crossing the bridge and walking down the steps on the left hand side. You can’t miss it!

Fleecydale Walk: One of our favorite and most frequented walks/runs in the area. Don’t expect a trail — this walk is popular with locals because it follows a road that is closed to cars. Bikes and foot traffic for most of it! Enjoy the old stone homes and let the trickling streams calm the nervous system.

Washington’s Crossing: You guessed it! The place where our first president crossed the Delaware all the way back in 1776. Connect with your patriotic side, or nerd out with all the history and check out the state park.

Other hiking options: Aquetong State Park, Horseshoe Bend Blue Trails, Ringing Rocks

SHOPPING

Antiques at the Old Church: Curated selection of antique furniture and finds, housed within the walls of an old church. Whether you’re window shopping or in the market for something specific, this is a place you shouldn’t miss!

Squarehead Industries: Our dear friend Gabby owns this bohemian chic clothing and fine goods shop in downtown New Hope. We have found some of our favorite wardrobe staples here — everything is guaranteed to be the best quality.

10 Church: In downtown Lambertville, this is our go-to spot for vintage finds.

Downtown Lambertville/New Hope: This entire area is great for walking around, shopping, or grabbing lunch. Enjoy a bite or sip by the river, hop on a bike on the tow-path, or grab a coffee and relax!

SWEET STUFF

Skip's Candy Corner: This good ol’ fashioned candy store in Peddlers Village is Michaela’s favorite sweet tooth sugar spot. Like a kid in a candy shop!

Rita’s Italian Ice: Nostalgic, delicious, and the perfect nightcap to say goodbye to summer. Need we say more?!

Curiosity Donuts: These donuts are so good it’s criminal. We suggest pre-ordering — they go fast!

Downtown Lambertville/New Hope: This entire area is great for walking around, shopping, or grabbing lunch. Enjoy a bite or sip by the river, hop on a bike on the tow-path, or grab a coffee and relax!

Welcome to idyllic Bucks County! Nestled in between Philadelphia and NYC, the sister county to Buckinghamshire is steeped in rich history. Something of a hidden gem, the area is reminiscent of the English countryside; old stone homes, horse farms, and rolling hills abound. Explore the quaint river towns along the Delaware, spend hours antiquing, or sit back and relax with a coffee or a cocktail — whatever your vibe, there’s no shortage of ways to pass the time. These are some of our favorite places to stroll, sip, and snack. We’re so excited to share our home with you.
